Description

German Federal Railroad (DB) class 218 diesel locomotive. Ocean blue/ivory basic paint scheme. Road number 218 401-8. Operating condition as of 1976.

With mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a centrally installed flywheel. All four axles powered. Traction tires. Triple headlights that change over with the direction of travel and two red marker lights in conventional operation, can be controlled digitally. The headlights at locomotive ends 2 and 1 can each be turned off separately in digital operation. Double A light function. The cab lighting changes over with the direction of travel and the engine room lighting can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. Attached metal grab irons on the sides and ends. Buffer height according to NEM. Close couplers guided by kinematics. Brake lines and screw couplers are included as separately applied parts. Length over buffers 18.9 cm.
