The class 193 electric locomotive - also known as the "Vectron" - is one of the most modern motive power units on the German Railroad. With the road number 193 352, it is used in the freight transport area of DB Cargo and represents the current state of the year 2024. In terms of technology, efficiency and design, this model sets standards and brings the modern railroad world to your model railway layout of Era VI.

Technical details & digital equipment

Equipped with controlled high-performance propulsion, the locomotive drives four axles - traction tires ensure optimum traction. The built-in mfx+ digital decoder offers extensive operating and sound functions. Particularly noteworthy are the digitally controllable light functions such as the three-light headlights, two red marker lights, high beam headlights, cab and control panel lighting as well as the shunting light (NL, CH) and the wrong way lighting (IT, CH).

The LED lighting uses maintenance-free warm white and red light-emitting diodes. The headlights can be switched off separately digitally on both sides of the locomotive - when switched off completely, the double A light on both sides is activated automatically. Thanks to the integrated buffer memory, the locomotive remains fully operational even during short sections without power.

Design & workmanship

The chassis and body of the locomotive are made of robust die-cast zinc. The locomotive has many applied details that realistically reflect the prototype. The buffer height complies with the NEM standard. Attachable brake hoses are included and round off the authentic appearance. With a length of approx. 21.9 cm over buffers, the model is optimally designed for use on modern H0 layouts.
