An exceptional collector’s model with a festival vibe: The Märklin 39475 H0 Class 101 Electric Locomotive “Raw Metal Edition” combines the modern Class 101 express train locomotive with a metallic look inspired by raw materials and the embossed logo of the Wacken Open Air (W:O:A®). The prototype features a Class 101 express locomotive with a unique metallic finish. Instead of a classic paint job, the focus here is on the look of the raw materials, finished exclusively with a clear protective coat. Combined with the raised-print Wacken Open Air logo, this creates a distinctive special edition for collectors, music fans, and model railroaders with an appreciation for extraordinary locomotive designs.
The Class 101, as a modern express train locomotive, is highly versatile on the model railroad. In this Raw Metal Edition, it looks particularly exclusive and is suitable both for layout operation and as a highlight in a display case.
The model is equipped with an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. The regulated high-performance drive ensures powerful operation, with four driven axles and traction tires providing additional pulling power.
A buffer memory bridges short power outages and improves operational reliability. This makes the locomotive not only visually striking but also technically well-equipped for use on H0 AC layouts.
The locomotive features a three-light headlights signal that changes depending on the direction of travel and two red tail lights. These operate conventionally and can be controlled digitally. In addition, the headlights and cab lighting can be controlled digitally and independently.
The headlight on locomotive sides 2 and 1 can each be switched off digitally. If the headlights on both sides are turned off, the double-A light function is available on both sides. The lighting is provided by maintenance-free warm-white and red LEDs.
