With the Märklin 39481 express train steam locomotive, Märklin is bringing a masterfully designed model of the Belgian class 1 to the H0 layout. The locomotive with the road number 1.002 is in museum operating condition and is presented with prototypical shape changes on the boiler and numerous intricate details. This elegant engine of the Belgian State Railroad (SNCB/NMBS) is a highlight for all fans of European steam locomotives of Era VI.
The locomotive and tender are largely made of metal and guarantee high stability and smooth running. The controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass is located in the boiler. One axle is driven directly, two others via coupling rods. Traction tires ensure reliable traction - even under load.
The smoke generator fitted as standard produces a speed-dependent, dynamic smoke output and ensures realistic steam scenes. The front two-light headlights, the cab lighting and the flickering in the firebox can be controlled separately digitally. The lighting is provided by maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs.
The built-in mfx+ decoder offers extensive light and sound functions. A buffer memory bridges powerless track sections and ensures safe operation. An adjustable kinematic coupling is used to connect the locomotive to the tender. A kinematics-guided close coupler with NEM shaft is installed on the tender. The locomotive can negotiate curves from a radius of 437.5 mm (R2). Brake hoses, imitation screw couplers and signal brackets are included for customizing.
