The Märklin 39513 H0 Class Be 4/6 Electric Locomotive, SBB, Era IV, AC MFX Sound is a high quality model for model railroaders who are looking for a Swiss electric locomotive with a strong character and extensive digital equipment. The prototype is the Be 4/6 series electric locomotive of the Swiss Federal Railways. The rebuilt version is shown until it is taken out of service.
The locomotive has a basic fir green paint scheme with traffic gray running gear. It has the locomotive road number 12323 and represents the operating condition at the beginning of the 1970s. This makes the model a particularly good fit for an H0 layout of Era IV with a Swiss railroad theme.
The prototype for the Märklin 39513 is an electric locomotive of the Be 4/6 series of the Swiss Federal Railways. The version shows the rebuilt version until it was taken out of service. The locomotive is equipped with sleeve buffers, a sanding system, an authorization signal, and Integra-Signum magnets.
The special external features include cab doors on the long and short sides, which are partially welded shut and designed without transition plates. The longitudinal cooling coils have 11 vertical brackets. These details make the locomotive a very specifically described SBB version.
The model is equipped with an mfx+ digital decoder and has extensive sound and light functions. The controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass is installed centrally. Both driving wheels and the dummy shaft in both driving frames are driven by cardan shafts.
The locomotive also has traction tires and an articulated chassis that can negotiate curves. The minimum passable radius is 360 mm. With a length over buffers of 18.9 cm, the Märklin Be 4/6 is a compact but very present model for H0 operation.
The Märklin 39513 has a triple headlights that change over with the direction of travel and 1 white marker light as a Swiss light changeover. This lighting is in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. When running solo, the lighting can be switched to 1 red marker light.
The headlights can be controlled separately in digital operation. The headlights on locomotive end 2 and locomotive end 1 can each be turned off separately in digital operation. The model also has a double A light function. The additional cab lighting and the engine room lighting can each be controlled separately in digital operation. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting.
The locomotive is a highly detailed metal model. Many separately applied details characterize the model, including the cooling tubes for the transformer oil. The model also has a replica of the driver's cab and engine room.
The roof equipment is also detailed. Heating resistors, roof cables, insulators, lightning protection coils and roof running boards are included. There is also a sanding system on the driving wheel groups. Brake hoses, imitation screw couplers and steps are included.
If you are looking for a Swiss H0 electric locomotive with AC MFX sound, mfx+ digital decoder, Swiss light change, and a highly detailed metal design, the Märklin 39513 Be 4/6 series electric locomotive is a very suitable choice. Add this SBB locomotive full of character with road number 12323 and extensive digital functions to your Era IV layout now.
