With the Märklin 42565 2nd-class commuter car, you can bring the classic “silver car” Bn 719 from Deutsche Bahn AG into your H0 model railroad world. This car epitomizes regional passenger transport from the 1960s well into the 2000s—unmistakable thanks to its stainless steel look and high practicality for everyday use. An ideal addition for authentic regional transit scenes from Era V.
The Bn 719 is a further development of the well-known “Silberlinge” and was used by Deutsche Bahn AG for regional service. Robust, functional, and built in large numbers, it was a familiar sight on many commuter trains. This model faithfully reproduces the shape and design of the prototype.
The car is equipped with adjustable buffers, offering flexibility in adapting to various coupling systems. For added realism, it is prepared for the installation of interior lighting (Item No. 7330) as well as current-carrying couplers (Item No. 7319). This makes the car ideal for integration into modern train sets.
With a length of 26.4 cm over buffers on a 1:87 scale, the car is suitable for medium-sized and larger H0 layouts. For operation on DC layouts, the matching DC wheelset 4 x 700580 is available separately, allowing the car to be easily integrated into Trix or other systems.
Included in the package is the ready-to-run DB AG Bn 719 commuter car in 2nd-class configuration with adjustable buffers. Interior lighting and a current-carrying coupler can be retrofitted as options.
The Märklin 42565 commuter rail car brings the authentic flair of German regional trains to your layout. It combines perfectly with other “Silberlinge” models—for true-to-life train formations from the past to the present. Now available in the model train shop!
