Märklin 43833 H0 control car CityBahn, DB, Ep. IV, AC-MFX-Digital Product Details

Description

A City-Bahn with Cult Status – Märklin H0 Control Car BDnrzf 784.1 of the DB

The Märklin 43833 BDnrzf 784.1 control car brings the distinctive look of the Deutsche Bundesbahn City-Bahn to your H0 layout. With its distinctive Karlsruhe-style front end, integrated baggage compartment, and eye-catching solid orange/pebble gray color scheme, this control car is a highlight for all fans of 1980s commuter rail. Technically modern and true to the prototype, it fits perfectly into any Era IV train formation.

The Prototype – Control Car of the Cologne–Gummersbach City-Bahn

The City-Bahn was a modern local transit concept by DB that was used, among other routes, between Cologne and Gummersbach. The control car shown here is based on the popular “Silberling,” supplemented with the Karlsruhe control head and a luggage compartment. The cars were given a striking solid orange and pebble gray paint scheme, giving local transit a fresh, friendly look.

Model with extensive digital functions

The control car is equipped with a function decoder that allows the lighting to be switched digitally from a three-light front signal to two red tail lights. Additionally, the cab, passenger compartment, and luggage compartment lighting can be controlled separately via digital controls. The lighting uses maintenance-free warm-white and red LEDs, supported by a buffer capacitor for flicker-free operation during brief power interruptions.

Prepared for digital fleet control

The control car is equipped with a current-carrying coupler that allows the lighting of a connected car park to be switched on and off digitally. This makes it ideally prepared for use in modern digital layouts. Additional highlights include a type-specific underbody, disc brakes on the bogies, and separately attached handrails.

Recommended combinations

Perfectly combinable with the City-Bahn Class 218 locomotive (Item No. 39228) as well as the matching passenger car set (Item No. 43835) and the express service baggage car (item no. 42831). This creates a complete, realistic train run of the Cologne–Gummersbach City-Bahn.

Contents

Included is the BDnrzf 784.1 control car with digital functions, light changes, LED lighting, a buffer capacitor, a current-carrying coupler, printed car nameplates, and included toilet drainpipes and shunting steps. Length over buffers: 28.2 cm.
