Splash of color for local traffic - Märklin H0 City-Bahn passenger car set

With the Märklin 43835 Passenger Car Set, you can bring the lively variety of colors and the special charm of the German Federal Railroad City Railroad to your H0 layout. This three-part set includes two 2nd class cars of the Bnrzb 778.1 design and a 1st/2nd class car with a cafeteria compartment (ABnrzb 772.2) - all in the striking pure orange/pebble gray paint scheme that was characteristic of local transportation in the 1980s.

The role model - the City-Bahn Cologne-Gummersbach

The City-Bahn was an innovative local transport concept of the Deutsche Bundesbahn from the mid-1980s. Especially on the Cologne-Gummersbach line, colourful and modernized silver trains with a new standard of comfort were used. The carriages shown here were equipped with modern bogies, new colors and additional services such as cafeteria compartments.

Model with full interior lighting and digital technology

All three coaches are equipped with LED interior lighting as standard. Each carriage also contains a buffer capacitor to bridge short-term powerless sections of track - for flicker-free operation. The lighting works in conjunction with the control car (item no. 43833) and can be controlled digitally.

Technical highlights and attention to detail

The cars have separable current-conducting close couplers, type-specific underbodies, disk brakes on the bogies, and separately applied grab irons. Shunting steps and WC downpipes are included for optional assembly. Each wagon is individually packaged and also housed in sturdy outer packaging.

Recommended combinations

Can be perfectly combined with the BDnrzf 784.1 control car (item no. 43833), the express service baggage car (item no. 42831) and the matching City-Bahn class 218 locomotive (item no. 39228) - for a train composition true to the original as on the Cologne-Gummersbach City-Bahn line.
