Are you looking for a special H0 collector's car that combines a passion for model railroading with historical catalog art? The Märklin 45910 Märklin Catalog Car 1939/40 features the cover illustration of the 1939 Märklin catalog, bringing a piece of model railroad history to your layout or display case.
The car’s design depicts a classic scene from a major city’s central station of that era. The centerpiece is a dynamic station scene featuring a high-quality express train, an express railcar, and steam locomotive operations—a design that impressively captures the fascination of railroads.
The painting originates from the world of historic Märklin catalog covers and was created by the artist Josef Danilowatz. Among other things, it depicts the BBÖ Class 214 express steam locomotive, one of the largest steam locomotive classes built in Austria.
On the adjacent track is a three-car “Köln”-type express railcar, while on the far left, a Class 62 steam locomotive is traveling alone toward the station concourse. This creates a lively scene full of movement, history, and railway atmosphere.
The model is designed as a private Ibopqs refrigerated car and features built-in roof vents as well as attached steps on the end walls. With a length over buffers of 13.4 cm, the car can be easily incorporated into H0 train formations or displayed as a collector’s item.
Get the Märklin 45910 Märklin Catalog Car 1939/40 and expand your H0 collection with a special car featuring a historic catalog motif and strong collector’s appeal.
