With the Märklin 46334 Swivel-Roof Freight Car Set, you can add three finely detailed Tds-type freight cars from the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) to your H0 layout. The mahogany-brown paint scheme and the numerous intricate details make this set the perfect choice for realistic bulk cargo operations starting in the 2011 operating year.

The Prototype – Systematic Side Unloading

The Tds-type cars are rotary-gate side-discharge cars with a swing-top roof, designed specifically for weather-sensitive bulk cargoes such as lime, grain, or fertilizer. Their advantage: they can be unloaded quickly while also providing protection from precipitation. The ÖBB continues to use such cars both domestically and abroad to this day.

Model with movable roof and rich detail

All three cars feature individual detailing and numerous attached parts. Of particular note are the separately attached chute extensions and the movable swivel roof—ideal for a variety of operational scenarios at loading facilities. The cars are individually packaged and additionally enclosed in protective outer packaging.
