The Märklin 46399 car is a real eye-catcher for your H0 layout: the Gms 30 boxcar with an eye-catching "Haribo" advertising motif. The car is in the short version without a hand brake, brakeman's platform and brakeman's cab and is based on the former Ghs "Oppeln" type. As a private car of Haribo GmbH & Co. KG, Bonn, it was employed by the German Federal Railroad (DB). The model represents the operating condition around the year 1962 and belongs in every collection of historic advertising cars of Era III.
This freight car is the third car in a three-part series from Märklin that recreates well-known brand advertising on classic freight car models. The design with the authentic Haribo logo and motif makes it a special eye-catcher on any model railroad layout or in the display case.
The model impresses with its true-to-original color scheme and printing based on historical models. The simple design without braking equipment reflects the typical condition of many private freight cars of the early 1960s. Due to its compact design, the car can be ideally integrated into mixed freight trains - whether as a single item or in combination with other advertising cars or classic DB vehicles of Era III.
The Gms 30 covered freight wagon is particularly suitable for collectors, model railroaders with a focus on historical themes or fans of brand advertising in miniature. Its subtle ageing and authentic design make it the ideal accompanying wagon for branch lines, shunting operations or exhibition facilities with a nostalgic flair.
