The Märklin 46510 is a detailed H0 model of a four-axle unit tank car from the 1950s. The prototype was a private car of the United States Transportation Corps (USTC), used on the German Federal Railroad (DB). With an authentic representation of Era III, this model brings a piece of railroad history to your layout.
The model shows the typical design of an older tank car with pressed sheet metal bogies and a brakeman's platform. The depiction is based on the operating conditions of the mid-1950s - ideal for adding to trains from this period.
The Märklin 46510 is equipped with smooth-running special bogies that ensure stable operation. An attached ladder and a continuous catwalk on the boiler dome provide additional prototype fidelity and give the car an authentic character.
The car is designed for use in the AC system and is therefore ideal for classic Märklin layouts. It has no digital interface and no integrated sound, making it an ideal choice for analog layouts.
The length over buffers (LüP) is 142 mm, which makes it perfectly compatible with other Era III cars in H0 scale. Suitable wheel sets are available for alternative track systems:
