With the Märklin 46805 beer-cooling car, you can add a charming freight car model featuring the classic 1950s look to your H0 layout. The car is designed in the fictional style of the Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus A.G. and, in typical fashion, advertises the well-known “Tannenzäpfle vom Hochschwarzwald”—a must-have for fans of regional brewing culture and unique advertising cars.
At the time, Tnoms 35 refrigerated freight cars were used for the temperature-controlled transport of perishable goods such as beer, milk, or meat. The cars featured smooth walls, end-face ice hatches for cooling, and small service platforms for refilling the ice—a classic sight in Deutsche Bundesbahn freight traffic around 1958.
The model features end-mounted ice hatches and separately attached service platforms—just like the original. The white design with the eye-catching advertising slogan “Tannenzäpfle vom Hochschwarzwald” not only adds color but also brings a piece of brewery history to the tracks. The length over buffers is 13.9 cm.
Designed for Märklin AC systems, the car can also be used on DC layouts—with the separately available DC wheel set E700580. This makes the car an ideal addition to beer trains, advertising car collections, or simply as an atmospheric single car.
One Tnoms 35 beer-cooling car in a fictional Rothaus design with elaborate advertising graphics, attached platforms, and ice hatches. DC wheel set E700580 sold separately.
The Märklin 46805 “Tannenzäpfle” refrigerated car combines nostalgia, regional charm, and model-making artistry—perfect for Era III layouts with charm and character. Get yours now and transport your train beer in style!
