The type Eas open freight cars were used in a variety of ways on the DR - especially for bulk goods such as lignite, ore, scrap or building materials. They characterized the appearance of freight trains throughout the entire GDR network and were also found in international traffic on the Eastern European state railroads.

Detailed realization in the model

The six wagons are prototypically marked with different road numbers and have detailed ends, realistic wagon bodies and separately applied steps. Each wagon is equipped with a load of replica brown coal - for maximum realism in layout operation.
