Prototype: Type Tbis 870 two-axle covered sliding roof/sliding wall car. Privately owned car from the Märklin Göppingen depot, used on the German Federal Railroad (DB). With front access ladders and operating platforms. Brake platform at one end of the car. Curved sliding doors. Operating condition around 1990.

About the model: The type 2024 magazine car is based on the type Tbis 870 2-axle covered sliding roof/sliding wall car and has an impressive blue paint scheme and fine lettering as well as a brakeman's platform. The car was produced for the scale 1:87 and has a length of 16.5 cm.
