Description

Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG) class 151 heavy freight locomotive. Orient red paint scheme. Road number 151 028-8. Operating condition of the EP. V around 1994.

Although the DB introduced the controversial oriental red color scheme as early as 1987, it took until March 1990 before a class 151 locomotive appeared in this color scheme. The first locomotive in oriental red with light grey contrasting bib on the fronts was then 151 021. As before, all locomotives were based at the Hagen and Nürnberg Rbf depots and mainly ran in heavy freight train service, but were also allowed to pull passenger trains from time to time.
