The Märklin 55511 DH 500 Ca diesel locomotive brings the typical industrial look of the 1990s to your 1 Gauge layout with locomotive no. 780 from Eisenbahn und Häfen GmbH (E+H). The prototype - industrial workhorse for railroads and ports

E+H GmbH, based in Duisburg-Hamborn, operated shunting and transportation services for the surrounding steelworks. The Henschel locomotive DH 500 Ca was a proven powerhouse - compact, powerful and reliable in factory use. Locomotive no. 780 was an integral part of the works and port railway operations in the Ruhr area around 1995.

Model - Solid, modern, fully digital

The entire body - including chassis, main frame, wheels and coupling rods - is made of die-cast zinc. Many attached metal parts such as handle bars, windshield wipers, bell or brake lines ensure excellent detail. The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder, parameterizable current storage and a high-performance motor with all-axle drive.

Pure lighting, sound and function

A three-light LED headlamp changes digitally to a red marker light. The driver's cab is illuminated with warm white LEDs, the doors can be opened and a train driver figure is already installed. Extensive sound functions round off the experience - from the engine noise to the shunting bell.

Shunting professional with telex coupling

The locomotive is equipped with remote-controlled telex couplings at the front and rear as standard - for prototypical operation. These can be exchanged for screw couplings (not included). The buffer beams are equipped with spring buffers and numerous detailed parts.
