As part of the LION modernization project, the Re 420 electric locomotive was adapted for use with double-decker coaches in the HVZ fleet. The train composition comprises the Re 420 locomotive, a 2nd class double-decker coach, a 1st/2nd class double-decker coach and a 2nd class double-decker DBZplus Bt control car. This set reflects the current operating condition of the S-Bahn.
