With the Märklin 82260, you can add a charming miniature advertising car to your Z-gauge layout. The Gl 11 covered freight car is modeled after its condition during Era III and features eye-catching advertising lettering from Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus AG —marking the 70th anniversary of its iconic beer brand “Tannenzäpfle.”
The car is based on the widely used Gl 11 standard design, as employed by the Deutsche Bundesbahn for transporting sensitive goods such as beer, food, or textiles. The model shown here is labeled as a private car belonging to the Rothaus Brewery and bears the car number 546 078—entirely in the style of the 1950s and 1960s.
The model impresses with its elaborate and precise printing in the well-known Tannenzäpfle style. The side panels feature the iconic label design of the traditional Black Forest brewery—a real eye-catcher in any Z-gauge display case or on the layout.
With a length over buffers of just 53 mm, the car is ideal for compact layouts and collectors of high-quality Z-gauge cars featuring beer and brand motifs. It is designed without a handbrake—just like the historic prototype.
One Gl 11 “Tannenzäpfle” covered freight car with advertising lettering, Era III, car number 546 078. Packaged in decorative individual packaging.
The Märklin 82260 is a lovingly designed branded car with regional ties—a perfect gift, collector’s item, or standout piece in a freight train formation.
