With the Märklin 82269, you can showcase a typical representative of the Deutsche Bundesbahn’s general freight transport in Era IVa on your Z-gauge layout. The covered freight car of the Gbkl 236 standard design is presented in authentic operational condition without a brakeman’s platform – finely detailed and authentically lettered.
The Gbkl 236 was a versatile car used in freight transport during the 1960s and early 1970s. Designed without a hand brake or brakeman’s cab, it was ideally suited for general cargo and express freight transport—whether carrying food, packages, or light industrial goods.
The car features a finely detailed plastic body with an exact reproduction of the plank structure and realistic doors. The paint scheme corresponds to the service condition of Era IVa and is clear, clean, and finely executed. Black nickel-coated wheel rims round out the high-quality design.
With a length over the buffers of 53 mm, the car is ideal for compact Z-gauge layouts and prototypical freight trains. Thanks to its universal appearance, it can be easily integrated into train sets spanning multiple eras.
One DB Gbkl 236 covered freight car, Era IVa, without handbrake or brakeman’s platform, finely printed and equipped with black nickel-plated disc wheels.
The Märklin 82269 is a versatile model for freight trains of the 1970s – simple, authentic, and superbly crafted.
