With the Märklin 87283 car set, you get four detailed compartment cars of the Swedish "Snälltåget" in Z scale. This set represents the international "Berlin-Malmö Express" and brings Scandinavian flair as well as international train connections of Era VI authentically to the model railroad.

Prototype and use

The "Snälltåget" is a private railroad company that operates the Berlin-Malmö night train connection, among other things. Modernized compartment cars of the type Bmpz (2nd class), which are registered in Austria, are used for this. The distinctive lettering is striking: The lettering "Snälltåget" can be found on one side of the carriage and the destinations such as Åre, Stockholm, Malmö and Berlin on the other. The model thus reflects the current design of the prototype.

Model description

The set includes four cars in an elaborate and fine paint scheme and lettering. The cars are equipped with dark metal wheelsets that ensure smooth running and a high-quality overall impression. With a total length of approx. 480 mm over buffers, the set is ideal for realistic train compositions on Z scale layouts.

Special features

The cars are made in a special design and are not available separately. The set can be supplemented with the Märklin locomotive 88238 to form a prototypical train unit that realistically depicts the "Berlin-Malmö Express".

Use on the model railroad

This car set is ideally suited for international night train and long-distance train representations of Era VI. With its authentic design, it is a highlight for every Z layout and, in combination with the matching locomotive, offers a prototypical train appearance.
