With the Märklin 87514, you’ll receive a lovingly designed Z-gauge makeshift baggage car from the Deutsche Bundesbahn. The car is based on a converted BCi-29 “Donnerbüchse” and represents the operational condition of Era III—ideal for realistic postwar passenger train sets.
After World War II, there was a severe shortage of railcars. To meet the demand, numerous old passenger cars were converted into makeshift baggage cars. The Donnerbüchse BCi-29 served as the basis for the Pwghs, which was used as a baggage car on many DB commuter and express trains.
The car is built to an exact 1:220 scale and impresses with its fine printing, detailed lettering, and authentic design. The car floor also features lettering, making the model a small eye-catcher on your layout.
With a length over buffers of 63 mm, the Pwghs is ideal for compact Z-gauge trains. Whether as a single car or integrated into a classic Era III train set—this car always fits.
A two-axle makeshift baggage car Pwghs of the Deutsche Bundesbahn, Era III, with detailed printing and lettering on the car floor.
The Märklin 87514 is an authentic piece of postwar railway history in miniature format—ideal for complementing “Donnerbüchse” trains or as a special standalone model.
