With the Märklin 87615 Z scale passenger car set, you can bring the legendary "Blauer Enzian" luxury train of the German Federal Railroad to your model railroad layout in miniature. The 5-piece express train car set shows the typical composition of Era III with elaborately designed cars of different types. The train ran from Hamburg to Munich and symbolizes the comfortable travel of the post-war era - stylish and contemporary on a scale of 1:220.
The "Blauer Enzian" was one of the most famous long-distance trains of the German Federal Railways and stood for upscale travel comfort. This set includes an end car with baggage compartment, engine room, kitchen and dining room, three 1st/2nd class middle cars and another end car with 1st/2nd class and characteristic observation room. This is a prototypical recreation of the car formation of the legendary train as it was in the 1950s.
The models have red tail lighting on the rear end car that automatically turns on depending on the direction of travel. The lighting is provided by maintenance-free red light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Close couplers are installed between the cars, allowing prototypical train formation with close car connections. There is a system coupler with a hook on the locomotive. The fine paint scheme and detailed lettering underline the high-quality impression of the set.
With a total length over buffers of approx. 510 mm, this set is ideal for sophisticated express train depictions on a miniature scale. The Märklin class 01 steam locomotive (e.g., Märklin 88015) is the perfect complement to the car set, which historically appropriately ran the "Blue Gentian" as the train locomotive. The harmonious combination of technology, design and closeness to the prototype makes this set the highlight of every Z-gauge layout with an Era III theme.
Bring the splendor of past railroad times to your model railroad layout! The Märklin 87615 car set offers a stylish variety of cars, impressive details, and high collector quality. Ideal for all fans of German express trains of the 1950s and a must for every Z layout with high standards.
