With the Märklin 88315, you can bring the popular "Ulmer Spatz" in a modern Era VI design to your Z scale layout. The rail bus set consists of the class 798 motor car and the class 998 trailer car that goes with it - both lovingly detailed, elaborately printed, and technically up-to-date. A highlight for all fans of regional trains with historical charm in a new look.
Even in the 21st century, the legendary BR 798 rail bus is still on the move on branch lines - with DB Regio as the nostalgically modern "Ulmer Spatz". In red and beige livery with modern DB additions and nameplates, it runs on special tourist routes and as a cult train in the region around Ulm - here in the condition of around 2008 (Era VI).
The model impresses with extremely fine printing, including realistically printed door rubbers, handrails and lamp rings. The prototypical buffer reproductions and the nickel-plated wheel sets emphasize the high-quality overall impression. The motor car is equipped with a bell-type armature motor that ensures whisper-quiet running. Warm white LED interior lighting is already integrated.
The set is designed for Z scale (1:220). The motor car drives the vehicle safely on all standard layouts, even with tight radii. The total length over buffers is approx. 128 mm.
A two-piece rail bus set consisting of a class 798 motor car and a class 998 cab control/sidecar in the "Ulmer Spatz" paint scheme (DB Regio, Era VI), with a bell-shaped armature motor, LED interior lighting, and fine lettering.
The Märklin 88315 is a classic in a modern design - ideal for branch line scenes, regional routes or as a nostalgic splash of color on your miniature railroad.
