Märklin 88802 Z diesel locomotive V 80, DB, Ep. III Product Details

Description

Diesel classic in miniature - Märklin Z Diesel locomotive V 80 of the DB

With the Märklin 88802, you can present a real pioneer of German diesel traction on your Z scale layout: the German Federal Railroad multi-purpose locomotive V 80 in a typical Era III design. In a red paint scheme with classic double lamps in front and a detailed roof design, this model is a must for fans of the 1950s and 60s.

The prototype - DB's first new construction diesel locomotive

The V 80 was the first new diesel locomotive built in series by the young German Federal Railroad. It was used in both passenger and light freight traffic in the 1950s. With its striking body, roof muffler and red paintwork, it quickly became a typical representative of DB Era III.

Model - Compact, powerful and delicate

The finely detailed model is equipped with a bell-type armature motor that drives all axles. A warm white three-light headlamp changes over with the direction of travel. The red basic paint scheme, detailed reproduction of the driver's cab, round metal buffers, enlarged buffer plates and dark nickel-plated wheel rims also make the model a visual highlight.

For classic trains of the 50s and 60s

The V 80 is ideal for local trains, push-pull trains or light freight trains in Era III - on branch lines and main lines.
