The Sgkkms 698 container wagon from DB Cargo, shown here as the Mehano 28409 model with DACHSER swap bodies, stands for innovative solutions in combined freight transport. This bogie wagon is specially designed for the transportation of large containers and jumbo swap bodies. The wagon has been used by Deutsche Bahn AG since 1997 and is registered in numerous countries throughout Europe - from Germany to Romania. Technical details of the model

The wagon is in H0 scale and designed for the direct current system (DC). It has a shaft according to the NEM 362 standard, but without close coupling kinematics. The recommended minimum radius is 358 mm. This design is particularly suitable for transporting HighCube swap bodies with an internal height of 3 m. The lowered loading platform with a height of only 845 mm above top of rail (SO) also enables particularly large containers to be transported.
