Traveling by car - by train! The MF-Train DDm 916 car transport car brings the classic car train of the 1970s to 1990s to your N-gauge layout. The new MF33308 model sets standards in terms of attention to detail and prototype orientation and is ideal for authentic Era V DB compositions.
The model impresses with its finely executed design, detailed frame structure and precise engravings. The prototypical Deutsche Bahn AG color scheme is implemented in razor-sharp detail. The car transport wagon has an analog design, but offers optimum running characteristics in train formations thanks to the NEM coupling shaft with close coupler link. The design is stable and at the same time finely detailed - perfect for daily layout operation or collector's use in display cases.
In 1971/72, the German State Railroad procured a total of 37 DDm type car transport cars from the French manufacturer ANF. After reunification, these vehicles were transferred to the DB AG fleet as the DDm 916 and were used there together with the DDm 915 in car passenger train services. Many wagons were later sold abroad - to France, Spain, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The DDm 916 had a lasting impact on the image of motorail services in Era V.
The DDm 916 is compatible with all common 2-conductor direct current track systems and can be perfectly combined with Era V passenger coaches. Compositions with other DDm coaches or matching locomotives such as the BR 103 or BR 110 look particularly realistic. Thanks to the standardized NEM coupler pocket, the coach can be easily integrated into existing sets.
