Towards the end of the 1950s, Carl F. W. Borgward produced the very modern Goliath Express 1100 at his Goliath factory in Bremen. The vehicles were known in the 1950s as being unusually versatile and powerful. The large loading area of the platform truck and the maximum payload of around 950 kg provided an ideal basis for transporting a wide variety of loads. In order to protect the transported goods from the weather, the flatbed trailer could be fitted with a tarpaulin combination ex works. Equipped in this way, our model from 1957 drives for the "Helmuth Erdel" locksmith's shop. The scale model also comes with license plates and rear-view mirrors for self-assembly.
