The Minicar 66042 model depicts the Goliath Express 1100 as an open beverage truck without a tarp, featuring the “Wittingen” inscription, and is designed as a ready-to-run model with detailed printing. The open beverage flatbed underscores its use in regional delivery service and makes the vehicle an ideal addition to street scenes, commercial establishments, or brewery settings on H0-scale layouts.
Toward the end of the 1950s, Carl F. W. Borgward produced the modern Goliath Express 1100 at the Goliath plant in Bremen. The vehicles were considered unusually versatile and powerful and were used in numerous areas of daily freight transport. These characteristics are also reflected in the model, which convincingly depicts the characteristic commercial vehicle type of that era.
The open-bed beverage truck configuration without a tarp emphasizes the vehicle’s practical use in beverage transport. The open cargo area is particularly well-suited for depicting delivery and loading activities and gives the model a clear connection to everyday commercial life in the 1950s.
The factory-applied decals are clean and rich in detail, so the vehicle is ready for use right out of the box. The design is true to the prototype yet understated, allowing the Goliath Express to blend harmoniously into various layout and diorama concepts.
The Goliath Express 1100 is delivered as a ready-to-run model and can be used on the layout immediately. Additionally, license plates and rearview mirrors are included for self-assembly. These allow you to increase the model’s level of detail as desired and customize the vehicle to your liking.
The optional assembly combines the convenience of a ready-to-run model with the option for easy refinement, making the vehicle attractive for both immediate use and for detail-oriented layout builders.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, the Goliath Express 1100 can be easily integrated into both urban and rural street scenes. It adds a typical postwar commercial vehicle to your fleet and expands the possibilities for realistically depicting road traffic.
As an H0-scale model, it is proportionate to buildings, figures, and other vehicles of this scale and can be used flexibly regardless of the track system.
