The Auhagen 66056 TT kit represents the three-door city bus "260" from the Hungarian manufacturer Ikarus in the "Dresden" version. The model is designed as a kit and is aimed at model builders who want to realistically represent urban public transport in TT scale. The clear assignment to the nominal TT scale makes the bus suitable for city layouts and dioramas in which road traffic and public transport play a central role.
As a three-door city bus, the Ikarus 260 was designed for efficient passenger transfer and shaped the cityscape of numerous regions for many years. This typical design is consistently taken up in the model and forms the basis for an authentic realization in scale. The "Dresden" version gives the vehicle a clear regional reference and supports the depiction of specific city scenes.
The kit is characterized by a finely detailed design and carefully coordinated printing. The individual components are designed in such a way that a coherent and cohesive overall picture is created after assembly. The printing is applied precisely and contributes significantly to the authentic effect of the city bus.
Particular attention is paid to the design of the windows and lights. The windows are inserted flush, resulting in a clean and prototypical look. This is complemented by individually mountable transparent lights, which significantly increase the level of detail of the model. This design supports a realistic representation even on closer inspection.
The Ikarus 260 is equipped with prototypical tires and is designed as a rolling model. This means that the bus can be flexibly positioned on the layout or used in dynamic scenes. This feature extends the possible uses beyond a pure stand-alone model.
Steerable front wheels enable a realistic representation of driving situations, for example on bends or at bus stops. The kit also includes a driver figure that can be painted by the customer. This figure allows for individual design and supports the depiction of lively scenes in an urban environment.
With its dimensions, the Ikarus 260 is ideally suited to street scenes in TT scale. The proportions make the bus a distinctive element in the cityscape without appearing oversized. It is particularly suitable for bus stop areas, bus stations or as part of the flowing traffic.
The design for TT scale ensures that the model can be harmoniously combined with buildings, figures and other vehicles of this scale. As a kit, the Auhagen 66056 also offers the opportunity to actively participate in the model building process and to realize the city bus step by step.
