Prototype: 3 express train passenger cars consisting of 1 1st/2nd class ABm compartment car and 2 2nd class Bm compartment cars for the German Federal Railroad (DB).

About the model: The D 796 passenger car set consists of a 1st/2nd class ABm compartment car and two 2nd class Bm compartment cars on the German Federal Railroad. All of the cars have close coupler mechanisms and are prepared for the retrofitting of interior lighting.
