Are you looking for a compact switching locomotive for your N-gauge layout that depicts typical freight train and switching scenes from the Deutsche Bundesbahn? The Minitrix 16312 BR V 90 Diesel Locomotive features the heavy V 90-series shunting locomotive in its original purple-red livery from Era III.
The prototype was developed by the Deutsche Bundesbahn for use in switching and freight service. The version without longitudinal handrails corresponds to the operational condition around 1967 and makes the model particularly interesting for historical DB layouts.
The model features a technical variant with an integrated digital decoder and sound generator for operation with mfx and DCC. The motor with flywheel and the drive on all four axles ensure reliable running characteristics in N-gauge operation.
The body and undercarriage are made of metal. Attached metal handrails and additional steps beneath the cab for larger track radii round out the highly detailed design.
The Telex couplers at the front and rear can be controlled separately and allow for realistic shunting maneuvers. Additionally, the locomotive features cab lighting as well as a three-light headlight that changes direction depending on the direction of travel, along with two red tail lights.
