Minitrix 16725 N scale class 111 electric locomotive - DB AG, Era VI with mfx/DCC sound

The Minitrix 16725 is a finely detailed reproduction of the Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG) class 111 079-0 electric locomotive in 2019 operating condition. The Era VI model is constructed on an N scale (1:160) and is impressive with its solid engineering, many digital functions, and prototypical design.

The prototype of the class 111 was built from 1974 and is a universally applicable locomotive for passenger train service - from regional to intercity traffic. It is also used in many places in the modern operating picture.

The model has a die-cast zinc body and girder, which ensures excellent stability and optimum running characteristics. The built-in digital decoder is mfx and DCC compatible and controls a sound generator with many sound functions. The motor with flywheel drives all four axles, with traction tires increasing the tractive force.

The lighting is provided by warm white LEDs and includes a headlights signal depending on the direction of travel as well as digitally switchable cab lighting. The model is also equipped with close coupling kinematics, which allows for close car transitions and supports a realistic train formation.

With a length over buffers of 104 mm, the locomotive is ideally dimensioned for all uses on modern N layouts and is a harmonious companion for Era VI passenger trains.
