The class 193 (Vectron) electric locomotive from ELL Germany GmbH, leased to FlixTrain GmbH Munich, is offered with the road number 193 862-0 in operating condition around 2020 as a model from Minitrix in N scale. This model impresses with its robust construction made of die-cast zinc and the extensive digital equipment with realistic sound and light functions. A must for all model railroaders who value technology and attention to detail.

Product details & technical specifications

The locomotive is 119 mm long over buffers and designed for N gauge. It runs on 2-wire direct current (DC) systems and is equipped with a digital decoder with sound generator that is mfx and DCC compatible. Four powered axles with traction tires ensure reliable traction. The locomotive's body and carrier are made of high-quality die-cast zinc, which gives the model a solid weight and excellent stability.

The lighting is provided by maintenance-free LEDs that switch the three-light headlights and two red marker lights depending on the direction of travel. Headlights on locomotive sides 1 and 2 can be switched off separately digitally, and the double A light function is activated on both sides when the headlights are switched off. The main headlights and cab lighting can be controlled digitally. Coupling is via a NEM coupling shaft without close coupling kinematics.

Design & workmanship

The model impresses with its finely detailed paintwork in the light green FlixTrain design, which authentically reflects the real locomotive. The sturdy die-cast zinc body ensures a high-quality feel and robust construction. The attachable brake hoses provide additional realism. Overall, the locomotive presents itself as a technically and visually sophisticated model.
