Description

The model of the Zafn articulated tank car in the H0 DC scale has a detailed design and is aged. It has numerous separately applied parts, a close coupler link, an NEM coupler pocket and U-couplers.

The prototype for these Zafns type articulated tank cars is used for transporting chalk slurry. To make unloading easier, the car is tilted in the middle towards the outlet valve. Since the 1980s, these wagons have been used by various freight wagon manufacturers and railroad companies, mainly in Germany, France and Great Britain. They are suitable for ferry boats and approved for use in the Channel Tunnel, which requires a smaller clearance gauge.
