Prototype: The Saxon IV K is probably the best known narrow gauge locomotive. With 96 units, it was Germany's most built narrow gauge locomotive. The locomotives were built from 1892 - 1921. After the Second World War, the condition of the locomotives deteriorated. From 1963, 23 of these Meyer locomotives were overhauled and almost completely rebuilt. Today there are still 18 new-build and 4 old-build locomotives in existence. 11 locomotives are still operational.
Model: The model for the two-wire direct current system (12 V) was made by hand from white metal and brass castings. It is equipped with a Faulhaber motor and was designed for digital operation in accordance with NEM 651 (decoder must be soldered to 6 conductor tracks). The radii should not be smaller than 195 mm. Power is drawn from all axles.
