Description

Rare Era III diesel locomotive in H0e - Modellbau Veit 72011 V36 4801 DR

Are you looking for a truly unique item for your narrow gauge railroad in H0e scale? The Modellbau Veit 72011 V36 4801 (BR V36K) diesel locomotive, DR, Era III is an extraordinary locomotive with an eventful history - perfect for collectors and model railroaders who appreciate rarities with a historical background. With a bell-type armature motor, LED lighting and digital interface, it is as technically precise as it is visually impressive.

Technology & equipment

The locomotive is equipped with a high-quality bell-type armature motor, which ensures sensitive driving characteristics and particularly quiet running. A digital interface in accordance with NEM 651 makes it possible to retrofit a decoder. The model is designed for the 2L direct current system and offers a red/white light change with LED technology that is activated depending on the direction of travel.

Precise dimensions for H0e

With a length over buffers of 139.5 mm, the model fits perfectly into the H0e narrow gauge program. The minimum radius of 260 mm also allows it to be used on more compact layouts or in narrow track layouts. The fine detailing makes this locomotive an eye-catcher on any Era III narrow gauge layout.

Prototype history: A special technical path

The Deutsche Reichsbahn began developing diesel locomotives in the mid-1950s to replace the aging class IV K steam locomotives. The V36 4801 and 4802 were delivered in 1960/61, but quickly turned out to be a design failure: too heavy for use, not very reliable - and ultimately taken out of service and scrapped as early as 1965. It is precisely this rare special model that Modellbau Veit has reproduced here with the highest precision as a finished model.

A model for connoisseurs and narrow gauge enthusiasts

The V36 4801 is a piece of engineering history - as a special model that was never widely used. This makes it all the more fascinating to present this model in the display case or on the layout. Anyone who not only collects the well-known series models, but is also interested in the side stories of the railroad world, will own a real rarity with this model.
