Model scenes often captivate with little gags and surprises that you wouldn't guess at the first moment of viewing. The falling tree is precisely such a gag. The surprise of the spectators is great when an imposing, 17 cm high tree falls to the ground completely unexpectedly at the edge of the model forest. The trick behind it is very simple: There is a servo underneath the tree which makes it fall to the ground realistically, first slowly, then faster, until it finally hits the ground bobbing slightly. After about 8 seconds the tree straightens itself up again. The Falling Tree is an impressive, extremely realistic handcrafted wire twisting tree that is elaborately flocked. The included electronics are connected to aa standard 16 V model railroad transformer and is suitable for direct and alternating current.
