The Albula Railway, which connects Thusis with St. Moritz in Switzerland, is internationally renowned and popular far beyond Switzerland's borders. The 60-kilometre-long route runs over 144 bridges and through 42 tunnels and galleries. The fantastic mountain panorama does the rest to make the narrow-gauge line one of the most spectacular in the world. The line has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008.
Bergün station is located at the entrance to one of the most exciting sections of the line in the direction of Filisur. The building now houses the Albula Railway Museum.
