PIKO 21030 - H0 Class 181 electric locomotive, STK, Era VI with sound

With the Piko 21030, PIKO presents the factory-equipped version of the six-axle BR 181 electric locomotive with sound in the modern livery of the Polish freight company STK. The locomotive is a descendant of the proven Škoda E 669.1 series and stands for more than five decades of reliable use in heavy freight transport.

Originally developed as an E 660.0 prototype, the series locomotives were supplied by Škoda to the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) from the 1960s onwards. After the political restructuring, the entire series was transferred to the ČD fleet as the class 181. Some units ended up with private operators in Poland, including STK - where they are still in daily use today.

Digitized & with sound ex works

This model is equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder ex works and offers PIKO TrainSound® onboard. The locomotive provides a realistic sound experience with engine noise, compressor, brakes, signal horn and other sound functions - controllable via any DCC control center.

Lighting & digital functions

The model has a white/red light change depending on the direction of travel as well as digitally switchable driver's cab and engine room lighting. The driver's desk is also illuminated, which makes the locomotive look particularly realistic at night.

Roof garden & detailing

The finely detailed roof garden is equipped with two metal scissor pantographs. The rail scrapers, detailed interior fittings and the clean paintwork and printing in STK design make the locomotive a highlight on any modern H0 layout.

Technology & compatibility

The locomotive has a length over buffers of 216 mm and is designed for a minimum radius of 358 mm. Thanks to the NEM shaft with close coupler link, the locomotive can be coupled with almost all common vehicles - ideal for mixed freight trains.

Scope of delivery

The Piko 21030 Class 181 STK electric locomotive with factory-fitted sound decoder, ready for use with DCC digital systems and detailed instructions are included in the scope of delivery.
