PIKO 21063 - H0 Class 119 (E 19) electric locomotive, DB, Era IV, AC sound

With the Piko 21063, PIKO brings a real highlight of German locomotive history to the H0 rails in the AC sound version: the legendary class E 19, operated by the Deutsche Bundesbahn as BR 119. This elegant high-speed locomotive was designed at the end of the 1930s for speeds of up to 200 km/h - a milestone in the development of electric locomotives in Germany.

The model reproduced here shows the E 19 in its Era IV version on the DB, including typical standard lamps, pantographs of type SBS 39/54 and the finest add-on parts such as UIC sockets, centrifugal governor, axle bearing covers and sandboxes. The last operational locomotive was taken out of service in 1978, but it lives on digitally with this model.

Sound & digital functions for alternating current

The locomotive is equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder ex works and offers PIKO TrainSound® onboard - including authentic driving sounds, compressor, fan, brake functions and more. Switchable driver's cab and control panel lighting are also available in digital mode. Ideal for all Märklin and AC drivers.

Detailed equipment true to the original

The visual highlights include finely engraved handles, attached roof lines, insulators and windshield wipers. The type SBS 39/54 pantographs are delicately made and emphasize the high-quality overall impression. The lettering is razor-sharp and prototypical for the DB of Era IV.

Technology & operating characteristics

With a length over buffers of 195 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the locomotive can be used on all standard AC layouts. Two traction tires provide powerful traction. The NEM shaft with close coupler link offers full compatibility with Märklin coupler systems.

The Piko 21063 BR 119 DB is supplied with a factory-installed sound decoder - including extensive lighting functions and high-quality printing. Detailed instructions are included.
