Piko 21082 H0 E-Lok BR 110, CSD, Ep. IV, DC-Sound Product Details

Description

PIKO 21082 - H0 Class 110 CSD electric locomotive, Era IV with sound

With the Piko 21082, PIKO brings a powerful-sounding version of the proven Czechoslovakian shunting locomotive class 110 (formerly S 458.0) to the H0 tracks - equipped with a factory-installed PIKO sound decoder and various digital functions. The locomotive is in the classic CSD design of Era IV and offers model railroaders a unique combination of technology, history and attention to detail.

From 1973 to 1983, the CSD procured a total of 74 locomotives of this series to cover the shunting service at large stations as well as light transfer and line services under overhead lines. Equipped with a powerful transformer, predestined for precise shunting even at very low speeds, the locomotive provided reliable service for decades - and in some cases still does so today at CD and ZSSK Cargo.

Sound equipment & digital control

The locomotive is equipped with a factory-fitted PSD XP sound decoder (PluX22). The integrated loudspeaker provides authentic driving and shunting sounds such as starting, braking, engine humming or signal tone. The sound functions can be conveniently controlled via all common digital systems - a real highlight for realistic model railroad operation.

Lighting & additional digital functions

A white/red light change depending on the direction of travel is just as much a part of the equipment as an illuminated driver's desk. In digital operation, the driver's cab lighting can also be switched separately - a visually appealing function, especially for night operation or in BW use.

Fine detailing & true to the prototype

The model impresses with a clear view through the driver's cab, finely reproduced spring assemblies, grab rails, steps and an originally modeled antenna. The printing is razor-sharp and complements the authentic appearance of this CSD locomotive. Heating plugs and an extra coupling hook round off the visual design.

Technical details & compatibility

With a length over buffers of 165 mm, the locomotive is ideal for layouts with limited space. The minimum radius is 358 mm. Equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler link, the model can be easily integrated into various train formations. Two traction tires ensure safe traction, even in demanding shunting operations.

Prototype from Czechoslovakia

Originally introduced as the S 458.0, the class was renamed the BR 210 in 1988. After the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the locomotives were transferred to CD and ŽSR - many of them are still in active service today. The model faithfully reproduces the Era IV version and is particularly suitable for historical scenarios from western and southern Bohemia as well as cross-border operations.

Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the PIKO 21082 electric locomotive with sound, instructions and accessories for visual refinement. The locomotive is fully digitally equipped and ready for immediate use in the DC system.

Target group & application

This locomotive is aimed at model railroaders with a penchant for Eastern European railroad history and digital operation. Thanks to its compact scale, sophisticated sound and authentic design, the model is ideal for collectors, shunting specialists and Era IV enthusiasts.
