Piko 21084 H0 E-Lok BR 210, CD, Ep. VI Product Details

Description

PIKO 21084 - H0 Class 210 CD electric locomotive, Era VI

With the Piko 21084, PIKO brings a modern model of the proven Czech shunting locomotive class 210 (formerly S 458.0) to the H0 layout - in the current design of the České dráhy (CD) for epoch VI. This locomotive impresses with its compact design, technical reliability and exact model realization with numerous filigree details.

Originally delivered to the Czechoslovak State Railroad (CSD) between 1973 and 1983 as class S 458.0, the locomotive was renamed class 210 in 1988. With the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993, the locomotives became the property of the successor companies CD and ZSSK. To this day, many locomotives continue to perform reliably in shunting and light mainline service - proof of the technical maturity of this design.

Digital preparation & modern technology

The model is intended for direct current operation and has a digital interface in accordance with NEM 658 (PluX22). This means that it is optimally prepared for retrofitting a digital or sound decoder - e.g. PIKO decoder #56662. Two traction tires ensure reliable power transmission, even during demanding shunting maneuvers or on light transfer runs.

Lighting & digital functions

The equipment includes a white/red light change depending on the direction of travel using LED technology. In digital mode, the driver's cab lighting can also be switched separately. Also included is an illuminated driver's desk, which enhances the model both visually and functionally - especially when used in depots or in night scenarios.

Fine detailing & design

The model impresses with a clear view through the driver's cab, finely engraved spring assemblies, grab rails, steps and a faithfully reproduced aerial. The impression is complemented by the enclosed heating plugs and coupling hooks. These details underline the high standard of prototype fidelity and detailing.

Technical dimensions & track compatibility

With a compact length over buffers of 165 mm, the locomotive also fits on smaller layouts. The minimum radius of 358 mm allows it to be used on all standard H0 track systems. The NEM shafts with close coupler link guarantee a reliable connection with other wagons.

Prototype & area of application

The class 210 is still a familiar sight on Czech tracks today, especially in the shunting and operating service of the CD. The model shows the Era VI variant in a current design and is ideal for scenarios from today's railroad operations in the Czech Republic.

Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes the Piko 21084 Class 210 CD electric locomotive, detailed operating instructions and accessories for visual customization. The model is analog ex works and ready for digital retrofitting.

Target group & application

The locomotive is ideal for model railroaders who want to realistically depict Eastern European railroad landscapes - whether in the classic depot, as a shunting locomotive or for transfer runs under contact wire. Thanks to its digital preparation and compact size, it is also ideal for smaller layouts.
