The Piko 21085 brings modern Czech shunting tradition to the H0 model railway layout - in the form of the České dráhy (CD)class 210 electric locomotive, equipped with a factory-fitted PIKO sound decoder with large loudspeaker. This version of the proven S 458.0 series impresses with its authentic design, compact construction and powerful digital technology for realistic use in the DC system.
The locomotives of this series were delivered to the former CSD between 1973 and 1983, and from 1988 onwards they were operated as the class 210. Since the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, many locomotives have remained in service with CD and ZSSK Cargo - an impressive testimony to their technical robustness. The Epoch VI version from PIKO shows the locomotive in the current operating form of the CD and thus presents a real piece of railroad history in a modern way.
The model is equipped with a factory-fitted PluX22 sound decoder. The large loudspeaker ensures powerful and realistic sound reproduction: typical operating noises such as starting, braking, fan and transformer sounds or the typhoon can be called up digitally. The locomotive is therefore immediately ready for digital DC operation.
The white/red light changes depending on the direction of travel using energy-saving LED technology. The model also has digitally switchable driver's cab lighting and an illuminated driver's desk - functions that are particularly effective in shunting and depot scenes and ensure atmospheric operations.
Typical of this model series are the clear view through the driver's cab, finely molded spring assemblies, grab rails and steps as well as a replicated antenna. A heating plug and a coupling hook are also included for visual retrofitting. All imprints are pin sharp and prototypically placed.
With a compact length over buffers of 165 mm, the locomotive is ideal for use in shunting yards or on smaller layouts. The minimum radius is 358 mm. Equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler link as well as two traction tires, the model offers excellent running characteristics and a wide range of possible uses.
The class 210 was and is a typical representative of electric shunting technology in Eastern Europe. It still characterizes the image of many depots and transfer stations in the Czech Republic today. The model faithfully reflects the current reality of use in Era VI at České dráhy (CD) and thus brings history and the present together.
The scope of delivery includes the Piko 21085 electric locomotive BR 210 CD with sound, operating instructions and accessories for visual refinement. The model is fully digitized and ready for immediate use in the 2-conductor direct current system.
This sound locomotive is aimed at digital model railroaders with an interest in Eastern European railroad systems, but also at collectors of high-quality small locomotives with character. It is ideal for realistic scenes in shunting and light line service on today's CD.
Get a perfect mix of history, technology and authentic sound for your H0 layout with the Piko 21085 BR 210 CD with sound. Order now - the powerful CSD successor in the latest version!
