With the Piko 21720 BR 388, PIKO brings the modern freight locomotive of the Traxx 3 series as a model for DC systems equipped with a PIKO sound decoder at the factory. The locomotive in the Metrans Cargo design combines elegant form with high technical performance - ideal for fans of modern railroad technology of Era VI.

Technology & equipment - Ready to run with sound

The model is fully digitized and equipped with realistic sound. The cab lighting can be switched digitally, four filigree single-arm pantographs made of metal and the smooth side walls emphasize the modern design. The locomotive is automatically recognized by the PluX22 sound decoder and is immediately ready for operation in digital mode.

The class 187 is equipped with an additional 180 kW diesel unit, which enables crossings of non-electrified sidings - a milestone in European freight transport.
