The Piko 21724 Rh 1041 brings Austrian railroad history with top digital equipment to your Märklin-compatible H0 layout. With a factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder, mfx® compatibility and true-to-original detailing, this model is a real highlight for all those who appreciate classics of Era IV - now as an AC version!
The model is equipped with digitally switchable cab and engine room lighting as well as two filigree metal scissor pantographs. The integrated sound decoder offers prototypical operating sounds and automatically registers with mfx®-compatible control centers - the perfect plug-and-play solution for digital AC systems.
The Rh 1041 of the ÖBB was equipped with technology from AEG, BBC, ELIN and SSW and impressed with its durability and flexibility. After decades in active service, the locomotives were taken out of service in 2003 - some live on as museum locomotives. The PIKO conversion transports this history into the model railroad age with great attention to detail.
The model is suitable for AC systems with radii from 358 mm. Thanks to the NEM shaft and close coupler link, the locomotive can be flexibly combined with ÖBB passenger or freight cars of Era IV. The compact design with a clearance of 176 mm also makes it ideal for smaller layout scenarios.
This sound locomotive is ideal for Märklin drivers, ÖBB fans, Era IV collectors and anyone looking for compact, ready-to-use AC models with an authentic sound. History, technology and design - combined in one locomotive.
Experience the digitized version of an ÖBB icon with the Piko 21724 Rh 1041 - now available as a 2025 novelty for your Märklin layout!
