The Piko Rh 230 ČD Cargo in the AC sound version brings the powerful sound of one of the most striking Czech electric locomotives to your Märklin-compatible model railroad. Equipped with a factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder including mfx® compatibility, this model offers the latest digital technology and excellent attention to detail.

Technology & sound - digital, realistic, mfx®-compatible

Thanks to the integrated mfx®-compatible decoder, the locomotive is immediately ready for use on compatible digital command stations. The sound provides realistic class 230 operating sounds. Two metal scissor pantographs, transparent skylights in the engine room, detailed bogies and digitally switchable cab, engine room and console lighting (PluX22) round off the technology package.

Prototype: Škoda 47E - robust, reliable, unmistakable

The Škoda locomotives of the types S 489/S 499 were developed for heavy freight train service in Czechoslovakia and still characterize the image of Czech freight traffic today. As the 230 series, they are used by ČD Cargo - preferably in southern and western Bohemia. Their round design with the striking front windows is unmistakable.

Compatibility & area of application

The model is suitable for AC systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm. The light changes in white/red depending on the direction of travel. The locomotive is ideal for use with freight cars, block trains and Era VI industrial traffic using the NEM shaft coupler with close coupler link.
