The Piko 21799 is a modern class 187 electric locomotive in the striking design of the Belgian state railroad SNCB. This new 2026 model comes as an AC version with a factory-installed PSD XP sound decoder and powerful loudspeaker - perfect for anyone who wants to combine modern traction and digital soundscapes on their AC layouts.

The BR 187 is a representative of the third TRAXX generation and is used throughout Europe in international freight traffic. The PIKO model impresses with its precise detailing, country-specific design and digital equipment ex works - ideal for model railroaders with Märklin-compatible systems in Era VI.

AC digital technology with a full sound experience

The model is designed for 3-wire AC operation and has a PluX22 sound decoder with a large loudspeaker. This provides powerful and realistic sound with typical driving noises such as starting, engine running, brake squeal and signal horn - all digitally controllable via your control center.

LED lighting & additional functions

A white/red light change depending on the direction of travel is integrated, as is modern LED technology for low-maintenance operation. All lighting functions can be switched digitally and ensure authentic day and night operation. The elegant SNCB design has been precisely implemented and is a real eye-catcher on the layout.

Technical data & track compatibility

The locomotive measures 217 mm over buffers and is suitable for use on all standard H0 track systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm. Two traction tires guarantee reliable traction, even with heavy trains. The NEM shafts with close coupler link allow easy integration into a wide variety of train formations.
