The Piko 21804 is the digitized DC version of the popular Siemens Vectron locomotive in the eye-catching Baltic design of the PKP Intercity. This 2026 novelty combines modern locomotive technology with a maritime appearance and was specially developed for high-quality passenger transportation in Poland. Equipped ex works with a powerful PSD XP sound decoder, it offers everything for a realistic-sounding model railroad experience.
The Vectron BR 193 is one of the most widely used multi-system electric locomotives in Europe today. The variant shown here is in service with the Polish PKP Intercity and is used for both national and international long-distance services. This model brings the modern appearance in Era VI to your layout true to the original.
Equipped with a factory-fitted PluX22 sound decoder, the locomotive offers realistic operating sounds such as traction motor hums, brakes, fan noises and signal horn. The large loudspeaker provides rich sounds and makes every journey an acoustic experience - ideal for digital DC systems with modern control centers.
The model has a white/red light change depending on the direction of travel, implemented with energy-saving LED technology. The lighting is uniform, bright and ensures a prototypical representation in day and night operation. All functions can be controlled digitally via DCC-compatible command stations.
With a length over buffers of 218 mm, the Vectron locomotive is impressive, but with a minimum radius of 358 mm, it remains fully suitable for the layout. It is equipped with NEM shafts and close coupler link and can therefore be easily used in intercity train sets or international train formations. Two traction tires provide reliable traction.
The locomotives of the Vectron family are used throughout Europe - PKP Intercity uses them in the Baltic design for intercity connections between Baltic Sea regions and major cities such as Warsaw, Krakow or Gdansk. The striking paintwork in shades of blue makes the model a real eye-catcher - not only on the layout but also in the display case.
