With the Piko 21827 you get a modern model of the legendary class 110 on your model railroad layout. The 110 383-7 electric locomotive is operated today by Centralbahn AG and stands for historic train experiences in a modern environment. Originally built in 1965 and used for many years by the German Federal Railroad and later DB companies, this locomotive now has a new task: As an operational locomotive, it is used for special, charter and transfer trains on the Central Railroad. This model in H0 scale exactly reproduces the current condition - ideal for realistic scenarios in modern model railroad operation in Era VI.
The Piko 21827 is in the nominal size H0 and belongs to the category of direct current models. It is operated in analog mode, but has a modern PluX22 interface for simple digital retrofitting. With a clearance of 189 mm, the model moves safely on all standard H0 track systems and requires a minimum radius of 358 mm.
The locomotive impresses with integrated interior lighting and a prototypical light change from white to red - realized with energy-saving LEDs. This also makes it a visual highlight on the layout, especially when running at night or in museum train operation. The NEM coupling shafts with close-coupling kinematics allow the locomotive to be optimally integrated into existing train compositions.
The Era VI depicted represents modern railroad operation since 2007. Vehicles from this era reflect the diversity of today's railroad companies. The 110 383-7 is a perfect example of this: a traditional locomotive that is still in active use under new management - here by Centralbahn AG. The model brings exactly this current state to the layout and allows scenarios with historic trains in the modern context of private rail service providers.
The scope of delivery includes the Piko 21827 locomotive in DC version as well as operating instructions and suitable accessories for individual detailing. There is no sound function, nor is the model digitized ex works - however, this is easily possible via the PluX22 interface.
The 110 383-7 model is aimed at model railroaders who attach particular importance to faithfulness to the prototype and current operating conditions. It is ideal for advanced layout builders who want to recreate special train services or museum operations on their layout. The combination of historic locomotive series and modern operating reality makes this model an interesting piece of modern railroad world on a scale of 1:87.
Enrich your H0 layout with a piece of living railroad history. The Piko 21827 electric locomotive 110 383-7 of the Centralbahn is now available - grab it and secure this high-quality model for your vehicle fleet!
